Mischevious Monday (& Everyday)!

Hi buddies! What a weekend we had at Chez Prudence! I've got mom thinking I'm going through my second pupppyhood, BOL!
I've been trying so hard not to help the kitties finish their food, really! So of course I needed to focus my skills at other things.... So I chewed the remote.... Again.
But the highlight of our weekend was when I helped myself to the pork in the crock pot. I've never heard a shriek like that from mom before! She stepped out to the store, leaving me sleeping on the couch. Silly lady, she knows that I'm a scent hound! What was she thinking?

She came home to the crock pot on the floor, with the insert broken. Oh, did I mention the pork? It was delicious (what I had of it)! Of course she was concerned that I might have been burnt or scalded by the contents, but I was pretty careful. It was pretty sad watching her throw it out. I offered to help with the clean up, but for some reason, she didn't think that was such a great idea *sigh*.
So no more slow cooking here fur a while, at least not while I'm home alone!
Thanks fur stopping by!

And thank you Snoopy, for hosting the Monday Mischief Pet Blog Hop!

  1. Hello Prudence!

That is what I like to see in a dog, one that can switch gears when needed (going from chewing kitty food to chewing the remote!) Then the crockpot, that wasn't so good either. Are you worried Mom might give you the heave-ho? I think I'd be a little careful the next few days anyway.

    Cheers!

  5. Prudence that has to be a classic for Mischief Monday. Wow we would never be nimble enough to get the pot down. How did you manage that? Go girl. Pity mum was so ungrateful not letting you help clean up. That is Peeps for you. Have a terrific Tuesday.
    Best wishes Molly

  7. Heh. You're quite the mischievous dog, Prudence. My dogs did that once, taking an entire rotisseried chicken off the counter and devouring it. The mystery was how they got the ceramic plate to the other side of the tile floor without breaking it. That chicken smelled so good ...

  8. Me and Nellie are very good at helping ourselves to tasty treats left on the bench. Once I eat four pieces of steak. Mummy says they just vanished. It was as if they were never there. Another time I eat brother's steak that he had cooked for his morning dinner. For some reason family are very carefull about what they leave on the bench. It does help that my nose is just the right height to be able to conduct a good inspection of whatever is on the kitchen bench or table. Love Nellie and Jasper.

  10. Prudence that is the BEST mischief ever! Have to agree with you, what WAS your Mom thinking, leaving the crock pot on with those delectable scents enticing you! Kudos for getting that pork but I am sooo glad you didn't get burned!
