Meet Hazel!

Hiya buddies!

         June is "Adopt a Shelter Cat" month, so we thought we would introduce you to Hazel, a sweet kitty currently living at the Petsmart on Route 22 in Union, NJ. One of the reasons we chose to feature this sweetie is that she reminds mom of our Sparrow! Just look into her beautiful eyes!

      Hazel is spayed and her vaccinations are all up to date. If you'd like to invite her into your heart, please check out her Petfinder.com page or stop by the Petsmart during business hours to meet her. You can fill out an online application at www.folas.org and one of the volunteers will contact you as soon as possible.

Nashville, Finally!

Hi buddies!

     Mom made it to BlogPaws 2015!

This year the conference is being held in Nashville, Tennessee. Since she's a little geographically challenged, she figured it might be a fun drive. Well, 14 plus hours later, she's busy patting herself on the back for making her longest road trip ever!

It wasn't so bad, she had good company with the Stunning Cathy Keisha's TW navigating, plush CK, Mario and my flat stand in doing some back seat driving.

Of course, I'm staying at my home away from home, the Barker Lounge, but I'll be making sure that she posts all the fun things that comes along this weekend. She's considering making some major changes to our blog, so this weekend she needs to learn as much as she can!

Well, mom's on her way to something called a "Convention", where she's going to spend some time with her Irish pals. So that means I'm off to a "staycation" at the Barker Lounge!

Monday Mischief: Making Plans!

Hi buddies!

      Mom's trying to catch up with everything here at Chez Prudence and I'm trying my best to help (or at least stay out of her way if I can)!

    We were hoping for an early spring, since mom has so many plans for our backyard. But apparently that mischievous groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil, caught sight of his shadow!

So I guess we'll have to deal with 6 more weeks of this!

Mom took this picture on her way to work this morning *brrrrr*! This is Zuccotti Park, in lower Manhattan. We're expecting 8 to 9 inches at home before the day is over!

So who's the mischievous one now? If you ask me, I think it's that groundhog!

Thankful Thursday!

Hi buddies!
   Wow! We heard some great news about one of the coonhounds we featured on the Tuesday's Tails Blog Hop! Sweet Charlie has found his furever home! Thank you Ken W2KB and Eleventh Hour Rescue!

     Here's the comment left from Ken W2KB "Charlie traveled to NJ from Georgia over the weekend at my request and I adopted him Monday night. He is a fine southern gentleman! :-)".

Now hopefully we'll hear some good news about dear Nella!

Since we're giving thanks today, mom needs to thank Klout and Merrick Pet Care for sending us a Perk for our kitties!  

We received the Merrick Purrfect Bistro and mom was blown away by how nicely it was packaged!

     Inside was a sample of their dried food, 2 cans of grain free wet food, a couple cute of bamboo plates and spork. Mom thinks that the bamboo is purrfect for Wren & Sparrow. She's sure that there's a bit of Bombay in those two!

Our kitties loved their noms! Mom should have taken pictures, *shaking coonhound head*.

     Also included were several $4 coupons for a bag of Merrick Purrfect Bistro. Even with all the kitties here right now, we'll never be able to use them all before the December expiration date, we'd love to share some with our readers! So if you have kitties or know someone that does, just leave a comment and we'll randomly select 5 winners after midnight Saturday, October 5th!

Barking About Backyard BBQ!

     Summer's here fur sure, and the warm weather means backyard pawties. Our friends at Petfinder.com have put together lots of information and tips to keep us safe while enjoying the festivities!

     Mom loves to grill outside, but while she's cooking, she knows it's better fur me to stay away from the grill. I don't mean to be naughty, but I'm a scent hound and the aroma keeps drawing me to the grill and that's not a good thing!
    So she makes sure that I'm secure and far enough from danger. If friends are over, it's my job to entertain them. That keeps me on my paws! If it's just us, I have to stay indoors until the grilling is done.

Thankful Thursday

     The Twitterverse lost a very special friend this week. Our pal Frugal Dougal has left us for the Rainbow Bridge and we're very sad fur his family and fur all the anipals, although, we'll always carry him in our hearts.
 

  We're all so much better fur having Dougal as a friend, thank you buddy!
