Talking About Transports!

Spring is in the air buddies! 

    Above is a photo mom took at Turning Stone Casino in New York last year. She really loves flowers, and can't wait to get started on our garden.

     Previously, I've mentioned that mom has started to participate in a few dog transports. She's very happy to be able to help, even in a small way, to get a pet to his or her furever home! And now that the weather is getting nicer, she's looking forward to doing more of these rides. Her friend Mary Ann is getting involved too now! Above is Mary Ann with Rusty, on his way to a home in New Hampshire. Last weekend, Mary Ann and mom helped a cutie named Mary Kate, on her way to Maryland!

  Thankfully, mom always remembers to come home to me, I try not to get jealous of the pups that I can smell on her when she returns. But she always gives me a special treat and a cuddle, so I forgive her!

Month of March Mischief!

Hi buddies! Sorry we've been away, the month of March is crazy fur mom. She's involved in a few Irish groups, and her whole month seems to be filled with different St. Patrick's Day activities.  It started out with the raising of the Irish Flag at at the County Courthouse.  

Then the Union County St. Patrick's Parade! It seemed like every weekend was full of Irish plans! I say, what about the hound! Who's the mischievous one now mom? BOL!

Thankful Thursday!

     Hi buddies! Mom's been busy attending different pet events, such as the New Yorkie Runway Fashion Show, the Super Pet Expo, then the Westminster Dog Show! Over the next few days, we'll be posting all the details!

    First on the list, we're very thankful this week that the Westminster Kennel Club has recognized the Treeing Walker Coonhound! Mom hopes that the exposure will help show off how wonderful we are, since sadly, there are so many of my sort are languishing in shelters in the southern states. Below is a clip she took at the judging ring. Please excuse the amateur camera work, this is her first iphone video, BOL!

The New Yorkie Runway!

       Hi buddies! Mom's so excited... It's just one more day fur the fabulous New Yorkie Runway Fashion Show! Mom's previous guest post about the New Yorkie Runway Casting Call was on BlogPaws.com. and she had such a great time watching all the very talented pups with their people. The videos of the 10 finalists have been posted and votes are being counted. Tomorrow night is the big one fur the lucky winner!

        This is the third year, and this year's will be better than ever. The show's founder, Elly McGuire (of the very popular weekly #Petchat on Twitter), has designed lots of stylish doggy fashions! And the list of celebrities is amazing. All of this to benefit the"Angel On A Leash" program.     
     The historic New Yorker Hotel will be the venue for the show. David Frei, the voice of Westminster and chairman of "Angel On A Leash," will emcee the event, showcasing NYC’s New Yorkie™new Spring line of pet apparel. And if the doggie fashion wasn't enough, there'll be plenty of celebrities too, such as:

• Sonja Morgan and Carole Radziwill (Bravo TV's Real Housewives of New York City)
• Ron Harper (Five time NBA Champion)
• Logan West (Miss Teen USA 2012)
• Alyssa Campanella (Miss USA 2011)
