A is for Animation!

Mom says that I used to be a lot more animated, full of energy and spunk!

 

Got my stick and I'm running like the wind!

Well, I still have lots of spunk, but as far as animation, I often prefer to leave that to the bunnies that I'm chasing in my dreams!

With springtime finally here, mom and I are both ready to get a "move on" and become more

Active and Animated!

 That's why we're taking the A to Z Blog Hop Challenge! We really need to be more Active in our blogging, so this will put make us put our paws/fingers to the keyboard!

Today we'd love to introduce you to Apollo! 

Apollo has a captivating smile! Here is what the folks at the Newark Humane Society has to say about this handsome pup:

"Apollo is a young Staffie mix who was surrendered, he was a house dog and from the way he acted he was in the house most of his life and most likely is house trained. He is sweet and easy to handle, he's attended several outings and a adoption day and has been a gentleman to all, people, dogs, etc. Very well behaved at those functions. He is sweet and loves to be handled. He seemed fine with all the passing dogs, had a good food test and gently took treats from us. He's just a sweet big baby looking for a another home like he had before. He is in really good condition. Nice calm gentle boy. Great dog."

Apollo and many other wonderful pets are available for adoption at the Associated Humane Societies in Newark, New Jersey. All pets at the shelter are up to date on their shots and will be altered and micro-chipped once they've been adopted.

   The Society offers free DVDs with all cat and dog adoptions at no charge. $300 worth of coupons are offered to each new dog parent and $100 worth of coupons for each new cat parent too!

Wordless Wednesday, RIP Guinness

We lost one of my good buddies this week. 

Guinness was always a good sport, dressing up and marching in our annual 

St. Patrick's Day Parade.

Guinness was called suddenly to the Rainbow Bridge on Monday, at the tender age of 12 years. He'll be missed terribly by all his family and his friends.

Rest in peace pal, until we meet again.

Hi buddies!

Today we would like to introduce you to Asia!

       Asia is a 1 year old German Shepherd mix, currently at the Newark Humane Society Shelter. According to her Petfinder page, she loves to run and jump. She loves to be petted and loved. Asia is very energetic and would love someone who can help her burn off some of her energy, perhaps a running or jogging partner?

       She is always happy and has no food bowl "issues". Sadly, Asia didn't really know what toys were when she first came to the shelter, but hopefully someone can teach her how much fun they can be. She doesn't get along with other animals, so she needs to be the only pet. But with just a little training, she make someone the perfect companion!

Monday Mischief: Making Plans!

Hi buddies!

      Mom's trying to catch up with everything here at Chez Prudence and I'm trying my best to help (or at least stay out of her way if I can)!

    We were hoping for an early spring, since mom has so many plans for our backyard. But apparently that mischievous groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil, caught sight of his shadow!

So I guess we'll have to deal with 6 more weeks of this!

Mom took this picture on her way to work this morning *brrrrr*! This is Zuccotti Park, in lower Manhattan. We're expecting 8 to 9 inches at home before the day is over!

So who's the mischievous one now? If you ask me, I think it's that groundhog!
